Welcome to the home of SSDAC (Strictly School Dancing Amateur Club)
What is the SSDAC?
The SSDAC is the Amateur Dance Club which has been established and designed to serve as the 'home' for our competing children. The club provides numerous membership benefits for children and recently we were delighted to obtain our first major sponsor to assist with the benefit program:

| Access Care is a domiciliary care agency originally set up in Andover in 1994. They provide nationwide live in and hourly care services to people over the age of 18 who cannot wholly look after themselves and wish to remain as independent as possible within their own homes and community. SSD Ltd teach hundreds of children each week at many different schools in the Hampshire and Surrey areas. As the children develop and their appetite to compete grows, they move through a process that enables them to eventually move into the competitive dance world. This process is based upon ability and also desire to succeed. SSD Ltd have four ability levels in place that are as follows:
Level 1 - Beginner (Schools) - 1 lesson per week
Level 2 - Intermediate (Schools & studio/Private) - 2 lessons p/w
Level 3 - Advanced (Studio/Private) - 3 lessons p/w
Level 4 - Competing (Studio/Private & Practice) - 4+ lessons p/w
Competing members of SSDAC train on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, with competitions occurring mostly on Sundays. In addition to this, some of our students take advantage of Private 1:1 lessons. For more information regarding private lessons please click here.

| The SSDAC is an affiliated club with EADA (The English Amateur Dancesport Association). EADA is the only organisation run by Amateurs for Amateurs in this country and has a child protection and equity policy. EADA is the only English dancesport organisation recognised by Sport England, UK Sport and the National Olympic Committee. |

The SSDAC is a non-profit making club and comprises of a board of Executive members as well as committee members. January 2011 saw the final creation of the Board and Sub-Committees which are designed to best serve the interests and needs of all our members both now and in the future. The club is now managed by an experienced group of individuals who share a passion and involvement for dance within the SSDAC by virtue of their immediate association with existing members. Collectively the management team share a wealth of management, commercial and entrepeneurial skills and these will be put to the test as the club aims to deliver upon its strategic objectives.
Aside from the Board's main structure and function, committee roles have been created covering: Child Protection, Transport & Travel, Clothing, Sponsorship, R&D as well as the newly created Liaison function.

The club now has 28 registered child competitors (as of April 2011) as well as many associate (non-competing) members. Our aim is to see the competing membership rise to 100 over the next three years and for SSDAC to be recognised for its success in national and international EADA/IDSF events.
