On Sunday the 11th July 2010, SSD had the honour of performing on the Main Stage at the Basingstoke Live annual festival held at the War Memorial Park in front of a very large audience. Junior and Senior members from our intermediate level and advanced classes performed the Cha Cha Cha, the Samba and the Jive culminating in a choregraphed routine to Cheryl Cole’s hit song “Fight for this love”.

The performances were totally fantastic in a set lasting 30 minutes with the large crowd responding in rapturous applause and cheering! Sarka and Neil are very proud of the team who took part together with the year 6 team from Castle Hill Junior School who also performed a Paso-Doble routine to the great rock song “Somebody Told Me” by the Killers.

SSD look forward to performing at next years event which over the weekend was attended by up to 30,000 spectators. More pictures and videos are on our Facebook Page!
